Come to life at the Greek town casino

Motown's newest casino, the Grigtown Casino, officially opened on Friday, Nov. 10, amid avid gamblers and huge fanfare.

Detroit Mayor Dennis Archer cut a ribbon and officially opened the $200 million (W200 million) Greek Town Casino in front of about 3,000 customers. Many of them waited for hours to enter the city for the first time on a chilly, breezy night.  동행복권파워볼

The 75,000-square-foot Mediterranean-themed casino offers 2,400 slot machines and 104 table games. The casino also offers three restaurants, five lounges, and a florist. The Greek Town Casino has the largest stage of any Detroit casino in the Apollo Lounge, allowing customers to enjoy both headlines and local celebrities and watch special events on its 10-foot x 10-foot projection screen.

There's another thing you don't often see in the gambling halls of the Greek town casino: the windows. The smoking cessation rooms are equipped with 10 tables, 90 slot machines, and large skylights, and the bar and lounge area adjacent to the two gaming halls are decorated with large windows.

Owned by the Saul St. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians and Detroit investor group, the Grigtown Casino is located across the street from the Athenum Suite Hotel & Conference Center in Detroit's Grigtown Tourism Area. It is Detroit's third casino opening, following the MGM Grand Detroit.
